Our Neighbours : the Jardin de Berchigranges
One of France’s most beautiful gardens is a must-go from April 15th to September 30th. Enjoy the labyrinth, walking bare feet on the grass alleys and on the cute bridges above running waters. That’s chlorophyle making poetry !
Gérardmer : the Main Place in the Vosges
The largest lake in the region makes Gérardmer unmissable. Enjoy pedalo and icecreams in summer, ski and ice skating in winter ! You will also enjoy the cinema, casino, swimming pool, bowling, shopping and the numerous restaurants.
Lakes and Waterfalls
There are lots of them in the Vosges, many of them with an inn where to have a meal or a fresh drink. Lovely !
The Ridge Road
The French call it “la Route des Crêtes”. You can observe wild chamois if you are an ealry bird, or simply walk all along “le Sentier des Névés” from the Honhneck to the Kastelberg : fresh air to breathe and awesome point of views !
Family Adventures
There’s a lovely amusement park called Fraispertuis half an hour away from the chalet, with attractions for people of all ages. You will make everyone happy, that’s for sure ! If you want some more, the area is perfect for many sports.
The Sentiers de la Photo, the Jardins de Bernadette
The Sentiers de la Photos is an open air photo exhibition created by the world-famous wildlife photographer Vincent Munier. The entrance is free and it’s usually from July to November. At the same location is the Jardins de Bernadette where aromatic plants are grown and sold.
Hiking From the Chalet
The chalet is well located, so you can just walk from there to discover each season’s own colors : flowers in summer, gorgeous landscapes in autumn, thick snow in winter.
Alsace
Alsace is the nearby region, and it is absolutely superb. The Wine Route is splendid with each village so cute and typical you just won’t believe it’s real. The main cities, Strasbourg and Colmar, are very beautiful too.
